The Importance of Coastal Sustainability in the Greater Tidewater-Albemarle Area Moving Forward

The cause of preserving the precious coastal resources that are located within the Greater Tidewater-Albemarle region (Hampton Roads, Virginia, the Middle Peninsula of Virginia, & Northeastern North Carolina) is indicative of the primary concerns regarding community support & development. Within the Greater Tidewater-Albemarle region, there are immense Coastal resources that are commonly enjoyed.

The Importance of Coastal Resiliency and Preserving our Wetland Habitats in Regards to Positive Economic and Tourism Activity

Coastal Resiliency within the twenty-first century is a concern of Great importance to areas with immense amounts of wetland. The Greater Tidewater-Albemarle Region, roughly spanning from Gloucester & Mathews County, Virginia at its most Northern point, to Beaufort and Hyde County, North Carolina at its Southern point, the Tidewater-Albemarle Region is home to a number of jurisdictions with an ample amount of wetland & coastal regions.

Amtrak Travel in Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Amtrak railway services are a popular mode of travel when visiting the Tidewater & Albemarle regions respectively. While Elizabeth City, North Carolina does not have its own Amtrak station, there are multiple nearby Amtrak stations but unfortunately a car or a secondary mode of transport is required from the train station to reach Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Commonwealth History Spotlight: Thomas Calhoun Walker of Gloucester County, Virginia

Let's take a trip into history today and learn about the history of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Stepping outside of Hampton, Gloucester County is located north of York County, with U.S. Route 17 being routed through the entirety of the County, starting at Gloucester Point and ending its stretch within Gloucester at the northern Border with Middlesex County. Gloucester County, Virginia is home to some of the oldest American settlements within the New World.
