The Greater Tidewater-Albemarle Region, roughly spanning from Gloucester & Mathews County, Virginia at its most Northern point, to Beaufort and Hyde County, North Carolina at its Southern point, the Tidewater-Albemarle Region is home to a number of jurisdictions with an ample amount of wetland & coastal regions.

Amtrak railway services are a popular mode of travel when visiting the Tidewater & Albemarle regions respectively. While Elizabeth City, North Carolina does not have its own Amtrak station, there are multiple nearby Amtrak stations but unfortunately a car or a secondary mode of transport is required from the train station to reach Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
